Stupid FunFact: The newly discovered species of slow loris, named Nycticebus kayan, has a toxic bite. Its bite releases alkaloids that cause necrosis. This loris gets its toxicity from the ants and millipedes in its diet and uses it against predators and rivals in the wild. The toxin also kills parasites. Captive lorises lose this toxicity and will die if re-released.
